About the Organization
The Amodini Brindaban Mandal Education Trust, founded in 2014 by Mr. Syama Prasad Mandal, is a charitable family initiative rooted in the village of Muruli Dangal, Birbhum District. Inspired by his lifelong dedication to education and the legacy of his parents—Late Shri Brindaban Mandal, a respected pre-Independence teacher, and Smt. Amodini Mandal, an education enthusiast—the Trust was established to promote academic excellence and social upliftment in the region.
The Trust began by recognizing district toppers in the WBBSE Secondary Examination, awarding them with certificates and cash prizes. Over time, its scope expanded to include State rank holders, village achievers, and students pursuing medical education, especially girls, through the Dr. Sangeeta Mandal Smriti Award, instituted in memory of Mr. Mandal’s late daughter. These awards are presented annually in a public ceremony attended by educators, community leaders, and well-wishers.
Governed by family members and guided by values of service, integrity, and educational empowerment, the Trust continues to foster a culture of learning and aspiration. It stands not only as a tribute to the Mandal family’s legacy but also as a beacon of hope for students across Birbhum District—encouraging them to dream bigger, work harder, and rise higher.

‘I was present at the 2017 Kriti-Samvardhana function at the invitation of Shri Shyama Prasad Mandal, a distinguished teacher of Amodini-Vrindavan Mandal Trust. That day, I witnessed an exceptional and enlightening festival in Muralidangal village with the sincere efforts of his Kriti wife and his nephew and all the family members. Since then, I have been regularly present at the annual encouragement function for Kriti students. Of course, the brilliant students along with the talented people of Birbhum light up the stage and the audience. This year marks the tenth anniversary of this simple yet heart-touching program. The old ones will also be with the new ones. To make this gathering lively and joyful in the midst of Sharad Tsav, everyone’s emotions are a little more intense’

‘ Document in the public interest for the development of education. The name of the organization is Amodini Vrindavan Mandal Sanad. Established in 2014, a family organization to preserve the memory of the founder Shyama Prasad Mandal and his family. Village Muralidanga Birbhum Bhaya Mallar Pur, West Bengal, India. The purpose is to award those who will be among the first ten in the secondary examination from Birbhum district every year in front of the boys who have passed the secondary school in the village so that the boys of the village are encouraged to study. This is really a matter of great joy for the village and the people of Birbhum. On the other hand, those who are giving these memorial awards are also extremely happy and encouraged. I wish all the donors and recipients all the best, greetings and respect. I wish everyone progress. In addition, later, if the donor and a female student get an opportunity in medical education, Shyama Prasad Babu’s wife has started announcing and giving the Sangeetha Mandal Award. Since the inception of this award, I have been able to attend the award distribution ceremony and gain the closeness and familiarity of many distinguished people. This is also my greatest achievement.’

‘Amodini-Vrindavan Mandal Education Trust’ has undoubtedly created a unique and common example in realizing the dreams of the students of the society. When we look at the world nature, we see that everyone in this creation is contributing something or the other. Swami Vivekananda says, “I understand only one action; benevolence, all the rest are evil actions.” The head of this education trust, Shri Shyama Prasad Mandal, has established the trust in the name of his parents and has established Indian culture on a solid foundation, has welcomed the universality of education with respect, has discovered a bright and radiant gem for the future and has proven that the world has not yet lost its youth. I pray to the Mother of the Universe, Bhavatarini, that this trust may brighten the direction of its untroubled journey on its intended path day by day.’
